with the Saskatoon Symphony Chamber Players

2:00pm

Produced by

The Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra

Sunday Chamber 3

Saskatoon is about to have two new bridges, so in honour of our new paths across the river, the SSO Chamber Players are exploring the bridges of musical time and place.

The final concert of the series features the SSO Chamber Players explore a music divide in comparing music of Eastern and Western Europe. From Suk’s telling of a old Czech tale alongside Slavic composer Janacek’s verve for Youth to the beautiful melodies of Frenchman Faure and the sweeping sounds of Italian composer Puccini.

Come early for brunch at Saskatoon’s castle on the river and enjoy an afternoon of uplifting music.

Faure - 8 Pièces brèves

Janacek - Youth

Puccini - Cristanemi

Suk - Meditation on the Old Czech Chorale 'St. Wenceslas'
