Par sa grande ouverture, Alexis Normand (prononciation: "Aleksiss") met en lumière les défis auxquels font face de nombreux francophones en situation minoritaire. La Fransaskoise propose un spectacle porté par des airs de guitare élégants, des textes finement ciselés et des interprétations nuancées. Par le biais de ses chansons et de son court métrage documentaire, Assez French, produit par l’Office national du film, elle raconte son cheminement identitaire personnel tout en abordant ses propres insécurités linguistiques.

Une soirée de trois composantes :

• Projection du court métrage Assez French
• Conversation et période de questions avec public

By her open generosity, Alexis Normand shines a light on the points of tension faced by many francophones in minority-language situations. The Fransaskoise offers a solo concert that is carried by elegant guitar playing, finely chiseled lyrics and nuanced interpretations. Through her songs and her documentary short, French Enough, produced by the National Film Board of Canada, she recounts her personal identity journey while addressing her insecurities around language and belonging.
