On The Boards will be moving operations as of August 11, 2026

On The Boards Staging Company would like to share an important update with our community of artists, audiences, and collaborators.

After ongoing conversations between the Board, Staff, and Artists regarding facility needs, day-to-day operations, and the terms of a future lease, it has become clear that sustainable programming at The Refinery (609 Dufferin Ave) is not achievable at this time.

With care for our artists, audience, community and our future, On The Boards will be concluding its public activities in the Refinery on August 11, 2026.

All previously scheduled programming will continue for 2026 Spring and Summer programming, including a vibrant lineup of dance performances, the Live Five Season Launch, and events connected to the Saskatoon Fringe Festival in summer 2026. We look forward to sharing these moments with you.

We are deeply grateful to the artists, renters, staff, volunteers and audiences who have made this space meaningful. The work created here, and the relationships built, have shaped an extraordinary and supportive arts community.

Looking ahead, we are excited to share that On The Boards is going On The Road for the next two years. This next chapter will bring performances into community spaces across Saskatoon, ensuring that independent artists continue to have places to create, present, and connect with audiences.

Our commitment to artists, audience and community remains at the heart of everything we do, and we’re excited to continue this journey with you.
